This project will involve comparing and contrasting Comte, Marx and Durkheim to a short (up to 30 minutes) video/DVD of your choice. For the next few weeks, you'll be asked to report on your project progress to your classmates in group discussions.
- Identify a video/DVD(from Youtube or elsewhere)
- Provide highlights of video/DVD (what is the video about? Clarity is important!)
- Separately, explain how Comte, Marx and Durkheim would view – interpret your video/DVD. Thoroughly explain (you may write as much as possible, there is no limit, and use sociological concepts/terms).
- Which paradigm is most represented in your video/DVD? Explain.
- Submit and post on discussion board for student comments.
