The Advantages of Vaccination
Prevention is better than cure. Kaushik et al., (280) argue that poor prevention procedures often result in death or complication from avoidable errors. In recent, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), Corona Virus has killed over 2.5 million people globally as of March 15, 2021. The number of new infections and deaths continues to rise even with the discovery of vaccination. Unfortunately, the vaccination continues to ignite debate globally as some countries suspend its intake. Nonetheless, 391,932,342 vaccine doses have been administered according to the WHO reports. This is a negligible number compared to the global population. Therefore, it remains necessary for people to understand the benefits of vaccination in the fight against a pandemic. Vaccination plays a critical role in the control of disease spread (Black, 1). Further, it helps in the management of the negative impact manifested by the disease on the population. Therefore, this research remains imperative in ensuring the population understands the need for vaccination to control the spread of a disease and its impact on society despite the minor shortcomings associated with the vaccine.
The process of vaccination is affected by different factors. For instance, the health care system affects the efficacy of vaccination (Marchildon, 2). It is important to note that vaccines often presents varying challenges to the consumers and should not be dismissed entirely because of the shortcomings. Robert et al., (171) note that the HPV vaccine elicits similar characteristics to vaccinated and unvaccinated populations with a reduced prevalence. Such diversities in the vaccination phenomena elicit the need for comprehensive research focused on utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to ensure the readers understand the advantages of vaccination. The quantitative aspect will utilize questionnaires as the mode of data collection while the qualitative will involve a literature review of recently published journal articles. The research will also incorporate a case study of the coronavirus vaccine.
Conclusively, the research will focus on ensuring people understand the benefits of vaccination amid the period of this pandemic to be incorporated in the study as a case. This research remains important as it gives people an opportunity to make sound decisions on whether or not to accept or reject the vaccination.
