Nasser’s 3 speeches( I chose 3) and analysed 2. I am looking to have the 4000 words written as to why Nasser code switches from MSA and aamiya(colloquial) and why sometimes he code switches and this is expected and other times this is unexpected. The 3 speeches I have chosen have aamiya (colloquial) in them but equally if you find any others that will exemplify your point better, please do use it. The point of the dissertation is to look at the triggers behind code-switching and to analyse is this is predictable or not. Sometimes Nasser uses code switching where he’s not expected to and vice versa so it would be really good if this could be the main thread of the discussion. I need 4000 words without the introduction which i have done myself so ideally the structure would be as follows: Historical background (factors affecting his speeches), research question, methodology (theory), Data to be presented individually and an analysis of this, Comparison between the 3 speeches and making comments that are relevant- This may be over 4000 words but the most important parts are the data presented i.e. the speeches and the analysis as well as the comparison and the methodology.
