EXPERIENCE: CARRY YOUR TRASH
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Illustrate the consequences of plastic use
Explain the implications of global warming and climate change and what individuals can do to help

OVERVIEW
The average American discards 4.4 pounds of trash each day. There are 323.7 million people living in the United States, whichmeans about there is about 728,000 TONS of garbage each day. This is enough trash to fill 63,000 garbage trucks.
Most of us do not realize the amount of trash we accumulate each day. For this assignments, you will designate a trash bag andkeep it with you throughout the day. From the second you wake up, this bag should be with you. Every piece of trash (anything youwould throw in the trash) must be kept in the bag for the day.
For this assignment:
Insert an image your single-day garbage at the top of your paper
Answer the following:
How much trash did you have?
Describe the Items in your trash
Were you surprised, or not? Explain
What can you do to reduce your trash consumption?
