You have received a threat from an unknown source stating that coordinated attacks are going to be launched against military and civilian targets in and around the San Diego area. The source of the threats remains unknown, but intelligence points toward North Korea and Iran.Your job is to identify the probable source of the threats as well as mitigate the numerous scenarios of attack that could stem from the Pacific Ocean, the Baja, the roadways entering San Diego from all directions, or from within San Diego. First Line of Defense – Abstract
For my research paper I chose scenario two, the purpose of my research is to identify unknown sources sending potential threats against civilians and the military in the San Diego area and try our best to reduce numerous attacks. The present study reveals how the United States Department of Homeland Security conducts Homeland Threat Assessments on a frequent basis which lead to threat identification and threat prevention activities. In addition, preparing port security and first responders for potential seaport attacks. The objective is to understand the advancement in terrorism and the audience they are targeting, preventing terrorist from entering the United States, preventing the scheduled attack and the violence, and intensify the United States protection and community preparedness. Preparedness requires being able to respond to threats by all necessary members. Planning for uncertainty and acting fast in moments of crisis is essential in reducing the attacks.
