Denotation.This is about things in the image that you could actually point to (with your finger). In other words, what details of the image do you think matter? What you do notice that is obvious or subtle that gives the image impact. Which parts of the image seem important to you and how far down into the details does this go?2. Connotation.We are not just computers making lists of things when we see. We are also trying to tie things together, interpret and conclude. So in addition to things in the image that you can point to as being relevant, what other words, ideas, or concepts come to mind to make sense of the image?3. Trust.Since they strike us as a kind of reality, we constantly compare what we see in images with what we see in the real world. With that in mind, what do you think is the connection of this image with the real world? Does the image tell you something about life or lie about it? Does it have a strong or weak or perhaps no connection to the real world as you know it?

Addressing mental health is a primary intervention for so many other conditions that tend to consume out public health focus and resources.
