Some background on our technician structure:
Due to the relatively small size of our work force at a plant our technicians wear many hats, not only do they operate the equipment they also do the maintenance, sanitation, logistics (load/unload trucks and fill out BOLs) and quality control (sewer water testing, post cleaned food receptacle inspection prior to return to the stores). There are 3 levels of technician and 3 levels of lead technician in our pay structure and although they all do the basic items listed above each level comes with an added amount of responsibility and accountability (or at least it should).
