2008-2009 Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2007 and the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009: Legislation prohibiting genetic testing and compensation discrimination.
2010 Patient Protection and Afforadable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA) : Controversial legislation that requires individuals to purchase health insurance by 2014. Contested by several states for it’s constitutionality, provisions of the Act will be reviewed by the Supreme Court most likely in 2012.
